We are at
Kverndalsvegen 39
2416 Jømna
Norway/Norway
-
The factory is located on Jømna, about 20 minutes from Elverum, Innlandet county, Norway.
-
It was originally called "BIPV Production of Norway AS" but changed its name to
Solskifer AS, which alludes to a separately developed product, namely Solskifer roof slate.
-
We also produce all kinds of BIPV panels, develop and produce panels for others.
-
Currently producing with M6 whole cells (166 x 166 mm).
-
We have our own production, at the same time we have several ongoing projects with several major Norwegian producers, as well as Sintef and IFE.
-
Produces mostly in glass/glass, but can use other materials where desired.
-
Produces panels such as BIPV/BAPV, building integrated solar panels.
-
We also have experience with other types of solar panels.
Solskifer (the product).
-
The effect on Solskifer is around 160 m²/wp, but varies with the size of the roof surface.
(larger roof area gives better m²/wp).
-
A slate provides approximately 47 Wp, in the middle of the roof this corresponds to 3.55 panels per m2.
-
The Solskifer system also includes blind/dummy panels for:
-
Foot/ridge.
-
Right/Left side.
-
Corner pieces top and bottom.
-
(the size of the roof surface depends on what is used. (these are without solar cells))
-
Is produced in hardened and laminated 4 mm glass (4 + 4 = 8 mm).
-
The fastening system has been developed at Jømna, produced by Norsk Hydro in Norway.
-
All panels are tested/measured here, Pmax(Wp), Voc, Imp, Vmp, ISC are stated.
-
As well as the serial number on each individual panel.
-
All connectors used are from Stäubli, the original MC-4 manufacturer.
(Not to be confused with "MC-4 compatible")

This is not a solar panel on top of a roof, but a complete roof that produces electricity. A two in one solution for the future.
