We continuously develop the solar roof tile through research, testing and collaboration – to build roofs that last for generations, in one of the world's most demanding climates.

When the facade becomes a power plant

Together with Spilka Building Solutions we developed a building-integrated solar facade – mechanically fixed, with a special print on the front. Installed on Acel's head office at Ystenesgata 32, Ålesund.

The front glass built to withstand the mountain

We tested different front glasses and constructions for the solar roof tile in one of the world's harshest climates – at the Troll research station in Antarctica – all the way to breaking point.
